Before UPS attempts delivery, the consignee can only change delivery options if they are a UPS My Choice® member. Otherwise, UPS will attempt delivery at the address originally provided by the shipper.
When UPS attempts delivery and can’t leave the package, the driver will notify the consignee with a UPS InfoNotice® sticky note. The UPS InfoNotice lets the consignee know what’s happening with their package:
Most UPS drivers deliver packages to the same location at the same home every time. But your delivery may have been by a different driver, and they may have left the package in a different location – check all options, including the garage, front and side doors, and the lobby.
UPS SurePost® packages are delivered by the U.S. Postal Service, and will likely be in your mailbox.
You may also want to look for a UPS InfoNotice to see if the package was left at a nearby neighbor’s home.
